Note me
I don't generally write non-art related things in my journal but I'm feeling oddly content at the moment.
I realized it's only when you get a real job that you learn to enjoy all the little things in life. And the free time. Everybody is in such a hurry to do things - work, party, travel, etc - that rarely do we actually take the time to enjoy them.
It's been a couple of hell-of-a-busy weeks for me and this weekend was the first in a long time in which I woke up and realized I had nothing planned. There was nowhere I had to go (except the blood tests I had to do in the morning but those were irrelevant - they only took about an hour), nothing I had to do. It meant I had a whole weekend of dolce far niente ahead of me. So what did this culminated in? A rather happy event.
I went to Carturesti in the evening and lo and behold, do my eyes deceive me? Down there, on a shelf, along with other fantasy books, was Terry Pratchett's "Unseen Academicals", hard cover. I took a quick look at the price (which was a lot, mind you) and decided I didn't really care. So I bought it
I guess it means I am probably one of the first persons in Romania to own this book.
So here I am, reading it, enjoying a nice and hot cup of coffee, the fire running in the heater, cold, wet weather outside... I'll go to vote later today. And maybe play some WoW... Life's good :]
